Hard Candies



Humbugs: A very popular, traditional sweet shaped as a triangle cushioned humbug. A superb quality mint sweet to suck on. Originates from the North of England in the nineteenth century.



Brown Humbug: A wonderful brown striped mint in the traditional humbug shape --- tastes as good as it looks. No traditional British sweet shop is complete without a humbug or two!



Sherbert: What is sherbert? Not like the American frozen version, British sherbert is a sweet fizzy powder. More than one British child has become addicted to the traditional sherberts as they are a wonderful variation on a traditional hard boiled sweet. If you like fruity hard candies, we can’t wait for you to try these. They could become a hard habit to break!!


Sherbert Lemons:
 A wonderful lemon drop with a difference. Taste the authentic lemon flavor ---so much better from the common ‘high street’ brand. Then enjoy the fizz of our finest sherbert --- a sweet and delicious fizzy powder.

Chocolate Fruits: These are a wonderful treat for both the hard candy lover and chocolate lover. The outer shell is a hard fruity candy and the inside is a scrumptious chocolate filling. Traditionally the chocolate lime was the most commonly found but we like variety and bring you four flavors!

Lemon Fizzballs: Ooooh ---feel the fizz! A beautiful little hard candy -frosted yellow and white stripes. Tastes delightfully of lemon and has the added




Cola Fizzballs: Shaped like a little round ball, this initially produces a mouthwatering sharpness followed by the familiar flavor of cola.




Sour Apples: A pretty little hard candy coated in a sour sugar that makes the tastebuds tingle and the mouth water before giving way to the more traditional taste of apple. Yum!




Rhubarb and Custard: Ooooh -Delicious! The red / orange part tastes like mouthwatering tangy rhubarb while the creamy yellow custard side compliments it perfectly. Wonderful textures and flavors! You will not be disappointed!




Large Pear Drops: A larger variation of our British pear drops. (for the larger mouths?) these are very pretty and colorful, each sweet combining two colors. Barley Sugars: People often ask what is a barley sugar. Delicious but difficult to describe, it is a very traditional boiled sweet --- usually orange in color-made with sugar and a hint of barley. Until you've tried it, you'll just never know.




Rosy Apples: One of our most eye catching hard candies. The round red and green little sweet tastes as good as it looks tasting of freshly picked orchard apples.




Raspberry Bulls Eyes: This red and white stripy sweet tastes of fresh berries and looks as fun as it tastes.




Brown Mint Rock: The brown version of the traditional white mint rock. Individually wrapped in small bite size pieces these hard candies are made with brown sugar and are flavored with peppermint essence.




Toffee Butter Balls: A yummy round sugar coated hard candy combining the sweets of toffee with the creaminess of butter. For the sweet tooth, it doesn't come much better!




English Buttermint: Buttermints combine a fabulous minty taste with a slight taste of butter. The hard outer casing eventually gives way to a chewy center. Exquisite!



Aniseed Balls: Rock-hard, little sweets with a big aniseed flavor! Throat-soothing and powerfully delicious!
