Bonbons

How do we describe a bonbon? The word originates from the French word 'bon' which means good and describes many sweet things. But in the UK, we know Bonbons as a very specific and delicious sweet. Our imported British bonbons became one of our most popular sweets in our San Francisco store in a very short space of time. They are a delightful and very pretty sweet dusted with icing sugar. They come in two forms --- some are soft immediately and some are hard initially and then become very chewy. Customers are staunchly divided on which is best so we stock a variety.

Strawberry Bonbons:
Delightful! Both in taste and appearance! Once you've tasted these, you may find them a hard habit to break. A dusting of strawberry icing sugar coats a hard strawberry toffee which softens over time.

Lemon Bonbons:

Coated with a dusting of lemon icing sugar, these delicious hard toffee lemon flavored candies eventually soften and become very chewy. We can't recommend these highly enough.

Toffee Bonbons: A slightly softer version of our other bonbons. A delicious powder coating gives way to a vanilla toffee. A very 'moreish' candy!

British Toffee

Treacle Toffee Perfections: The number one seller in our store. When we first opened we gave these out as samples and had people walk, drive, run and hop back wanting more. What can we say ---they speak for themselves! Treacle is mentioned in the Harry Potter books --- a very British flavor ---- a little like a rich dark molasses --- but, dare we say, --better?!!

Chocolate Eclairs: If you can resist these, then we don't know what to say! A delicious toffee encases a rich chocolate center. A firm favorite across the pond. One taste and you'll know why.

Chocolate Covered English Caramels One of our softest 'toffees' ---- more like a soft caramel ----- thickly coated in rich milk chocolate. A top seller in our little store.

Cinder Toffee:
A Scottish delight! This is a crunchy honeycomb but laced with the overtones of a traditional Autumnal flavor. Once bitten, never forgotten, this is a 'MUST TRY'
